Glass Balustrade Installation
Glass Balustrade Installation Monmouth
Initial Consultation
Jo had got in contact with us to supply and install a glass balustrade system to their beautiful garden in Monmouth. When we met Jo, she had asked us to look at an existing balustrade system that had been removed from there roof terrace to make changes to the roof. This glass balustrade system needed adjusting to accommodate the changes that had been made, we took a few hours working out what hardware was needed and gave jo a price on supply and fitting the existing balustrade and the new section which was needed on a different section of the garden.
Ordering & Installation Process
Once we had worked out all the parts needed to install the existing glass balustrade system new balustrade system, we then send you an invoice with all the information needed. When ordering your glass, we require a 50% deposit on all bespoke orders to allow us to start the manufacturing process. Once the balustrade system and 10mm toughened glass is ready for delivery we will contact you to arrange delivery at a time and day best suited to you. The second 50% will then be required. The final payment for fitting will be paid to the installer once the job is complete and all parties are happy.
Project Hurdles?
With the existing balustrade system that had already been bought there were only 2 fixing holes. This is the case with some systems but we like the 4 hole balustrade base plate and  created are own into the existing balustrade.

Installation Process
Stage 1
Leigh had the fun task of building the existing balustrade system first which wasn’t too difficult once we had all the glass sizes.
Stage 2
When installing the new glass balustrade system, leigh will mark out post centres ready for installation.Â
Stage 3
We install the pre-assembled stainless steel balustrade end posts of each run and attach string lines on both top and bottom glass d clamps ready for the installation of the pre-assembled middle posts.
Stage 4
Holes will then be drilled using a porcelain and masonry drill bit, Once all posts are installed the 316 stainless steel ring spigots are glued into place and the 42.2mm stainless steel handrail is installed.
Stage 5
We now install the 10mm toughed glass to the balustrade system to complete the build.
Final stage
After the glass balustrade system is complete all stainless steel and 10mm toughened glass is inspected and cleaned thoroughly.
